Start with where you stream, not what you stream
The first question is not "which tool is best." It is "where am I standing when I go live." The answer determines everything else.
Fixed location (home studio, office, event stage): You have power, a desk or surface, and probably Wi-Fi. A laptop running OBS Studio or a browser-based tool like StreamYard is the natural choice. Portability does not matter.
Mobile but stationary (park bench, café, conference booth): You have some stability but no desk. A phone or small tablet is ideal. You need an app that can manage a camera connection and cellular uplink without demanding constant attention.
